HEARTLANDERS – NEWS ZEALANDERS OF THE GREAT WAR

As part of our World War I centenary commemorations the National Army Museum have put together a travelling exhibition, housed in three shipping containers, which is touring New Zealand. The exhibition is entitled Heartlanders: New Zealanders of the Great War. It aims to take a snapshot of the Waiouru Museum out to the rest of New Zealand, and soldiers’ stories back to the communities from which they came.

The South Island Tour is taking place in February / March 2016, and is coming to Dunedin on Wednesday 24 & Thursday 25 February 2016. It will be based at the Lower Octagon 9.30 am – 5.30 pm on both days.

The exhibition is open to all and free to visit.
